Review: i-Tech Clip Radio
.
Wireless Bluetooth Headset for A2DP Mobile
I did review on mono BT headsets on Samsung WEP410 and WEP 420, today I am gonna talk about BT stereo headset seen I had quite a number of request on it this days. I have chosen i-Tech Clip Radio as its reasonablly priced and come with built-in radio functions and it compatible with most nokia phones and of course PDA phone with A2DP support.
SO lets take a look it come in a tub form very cyberly packaged, lets open it!!!!
WHats in the tub! we have the Clip Radio itself, stereo earphone, single sided earphone, charger, users' guide and warranty card
Closed up very simple looking "spaceship" this is the sliver/black it come in white/ orange too look more stylus but this give a more formal feel
Here we can see the earphone port and charger port
The stereo earphone
The single sided earphone
Alright lets pair it, I have chosen Eten glofiish M700, as some might felt that PDA phone might not be a good music player as they are not position as an entertainment phone but features or business devices, but to me with latest technologies I felt that PDA phone can be a much better entertainment device, even Eten never state its support A2DP, actually its a hidden features not many know about it at first.
To pair press and hold the multifunction button (MFB) the LED is the MFB till it flashes red and blue alternatively
Turn on your BT on your device and search for the headset, here you can see M700 had found the Clip!
Enter the device PIN which is 8888
After that press next (the little circle arrow on the lower left hand side of your M700)
And yes you are done!
So far the sound quality of the headset is very good, for music and calling, and the earphone port is 3.5mm thus you are able to use your own fav earphone. And the next best thing is that it is able to act as a remote control for your phone and volume control, for this function your phone have to support AVRCP which Eten glofiish do. The radio can be use as a standalone function. Overall its a very easy to use and quality BT stereo headset and what I like is that it come with both single and double sided earphone

Review: Nokia N95
.
Some might know that I had delyed the review of Nokia N95 even I had uploaded all the images. The reason is that no matter what, how, where and when I use this phone I just can't postion it has a computer... alright I know its still a phone after all, so I delayed the review and try to position it as a PDA phone still to my point of view its still not able to. So today I am going to talk about how N95 fair compare to other PDA phone and other Nokia phone like N93 which I had review on it last year.
SO lets open the box, yes the best feeling always happen at this very moment, this is the asia (or maybe only SIngapore packing)
The beautifully overly expensive "computer" no phone no is "toy"
just like N93 it come with loads of users' guide, quick start guides.... phone, charger, usb cable and this is a true usb cable not the usb + pop port type, stereo headset, remote with mic, 1GB microSD, screen protector, TV out cable, battery (only one) and the thing I love over the phone N95 leather case, CD-ROMs
Alright the start up screen front view
User interface like other N-series, but am I missing something here...
Top view power button
Here memory card slot, IR port, earphone port 3.5mm, left speaker
Side view right speaker, volume buttons, image and video button, camera button
Here will be the charger port, usb part and some holes maybe for the cradle?
Back view
close up view of the camera leans cover closed
camera leans cover open
The missing part of the interface which I felt is that the S40 and N93 interface is much more customizable and faster than this, as they have shortcuts directly accessible at the left soft key. But here you can add shortcuts to saved stations in the multimedia menu, by sliding down the phone, and the screen will turn into horizontal mode, but you will have to eventually push the phone up twice till the keypad is slid out beofre you are able to return back to vertical screen mode.
Slided up view
Closed up view of keypad
Closed up view of multimedia buttons
I have to say this design of double sliding action is pretty cool innovation, and the slding is easy much better than 6288 and even N80
Blue light turn on, on the key pad
the size is pretty handy as compare to N80
lest compare with the rest of the PDA phones, as we can see N95 is pretty much the same size with O2 atom Life
But the thickness.....
N95 is one of the thinckest phone here
Turn on the lights!
Thus I compare with O2 Atom Life as their size is pretty similar
Of course Life is still the smallest in size compare to other PDA phones in the market
Alright the best part, N95 leather case its so cool
this is the most sexy leather case I had ever seem its so sleek and elegantly designed
Other then the design it will be its size very fitting just the right size for the phone thus will not make the phone bigger or heavier
Nice and handy
Alright lets get down to the real thing, I felt that the GPS on N95 is only "S" without the GP, its so or i should say I had never locked on to any GPS signal at all, My Eten glofiish X50o and M700 is really so much better than it. And only Eten glofiish come with satellite data update, as the earth are constantly rotating the position of the satellite required updates every week thus to enable locking on to satellite much faster. I called nokia care and ask them why i can't obtain the GPS signal and this lady ask me to contact my mobile network operator (silly service lady) so I contacted my operator Singtel, and without the need for me to continue you guys should know what happen. If the GPS in N95 is not as good I felt its really not worth the price tag. Don't even compare it with a "computer", I felt PDA phone running Windows Mobile 5 is so much more easier to use and much more customizable.
And yes this phone lag, but the themes are fast able to change themes at great speed, but for updating the music library, its so slow, it took mins to update my 100 over mucis files on my memory card, it took less that that for my Palm 750 to update 200 over song files. For multimedia N95 come with really one of the best speakers. And if you are a hardcore user get an extra battery, it just run out of juice really fast. After using some many different phones, I felt that N95 really have nothing much special, other then high MP camera, louder better speakers, more network dependent programs. If you love multimedia I believe N95 will be a good choice even so I would not pay so much just for a PMP player.
Maybe because I had used N93 before thus did not really find N95 special, for those who had not and had not try PDA phones might find this a dream phone. If N95 is a computer then my Eten glofiish is a time machine... lets go to the year 2020 ==33==333
