I like the design of this black Aino dont prefer the white one, as this black give a more elegant manly feel. Aino comes with a bluetooth headset which looks like black colour too but actually its dark metallic blue so is the side trimming of the phone, when you take a close enough look at it.
The best part of this phone package is that it comes with a docking station that enable you to charge your phone and bluetooth headset, it just look so good on your desk, and it also add as a desktop clock and alarm clock too.
It would be perfect if sony ericsson can be more hardworking and provide software and turning it to a digital photo frame and a radio while its being docked.
Front view
Side view: charging port
Bottom view: land yard opening and speaker
Side view: camera button and volume key
Top view: key lock button
Back view: 8.1 MP camera with LED flash
Slide up back view, you can see the metal backing, feels very quality, and durable.
The back battery cover of Aino feels really fragile you can feel the softness of the plastic once you removed it
The keypad to me it fine, but if your finger is too big you may have problem as the control keys are truely pretty small
Overall it feels pretty good on my had, the screen is pretty big for a normal phone, I call it a normal phone is because the touch screen functions are limited.
When you slide up the phone you have to control the interface using your keypad, and as you can see the UI is the usual Sony Ericsson phone UI.
The disadvantage is that I have feel it pretty laggy especially when you are searching through your contacts list.
Aino comes with quite a number of application like Facebook, Youtube, AccuWeather, Google Map, etc.
Its best that your download Opera mini (above) from their website. After you had installed Opera mini you will be surprise that it enable you to use the Aino touch screen function while browsing the web while the default browser does not its definitely much better than the default browser.
Threaded message, thats really cool and yes it come default with the phone. you can chose to use the standard messaging interface or the threaded format (its is call “conversations” in the phone)
Digital Clock view
Media touch screen interface
Aino comes with 8.1 MP camera with LED flash, but surprisingly there are not much functions in Aino as compare to other Sony Ericsson Cyber Shots mobile phones, pretty disappointing. The quality is fair but the respond of the camera is pretty fast, no option to change or silent the camera sound.
The best part of the camera which I like best is point to shoot or touch focus, just touch anywhere on the touch screen which you want the camera to focus the camera will auto focus it and take the shot for you.
In conclusion, if you look at Aino as a good music phone with a good camera then you will certainly be very happy with all the functions it provide to you. As it come with WiFi and GPS. The connection of WiFi is very good as it will not connect to 3G automatically once you are connected to WiFi.
But if you are like me who has a higher expectation on it as Sony Ericsson had position it to be a multimedia entertainment mobile device, I must say I expect a faster device, there is no MSN Live, cannot listen to radio while docking, no digital frame functions, not much free downloads at Play Now, limited touch screen functions, camera functions are too limited.
