Review: iPad 2 Power Support HD Anti-Glare VS Cheap Screen Protector

Just gotten myself the all so popular and highly recommended Power Support HD Anti-Glare Screen Protector. I got it at S$35.40 its a 40% off its original S$59.90!!! Honestly I will never get this if its not for the discount at its original price I can get myself a Smart Cover at S$54 with some change left too.

Alright lets check out the package, it come with a screen protector and NOTHING else not even a cleaning cloth, oh there a instruction guide......!@#$%^&*()

This review focus on Power Support HD Anti-Glare VS Cheap Screen Protector, as you might know cheap protectors create more problem than protecting your screen. And most cheap protector reduces the brightness and clarity of the screen and thats really negative. One major issues cheap protect creates on your iPad screen is the so call "rainbow effect" or make your screen looks grainy! That super bad! Most often graininess occur most obvious when iPad is displaying in white e.g. viewing a white image, photo or background.

The following is the made in china anti-glare protector I am using previously about less than S$10, its really nice its pretty much similar to power support when I compare the feel of the material and ease of installation, bubble free installation and no residue remain on my iPad 2 screen after removal. It deflect reflection really well. But have "rainbow effect" and grainy problem, not so obvious when viewing colour images but its really obvious when my iPad 2 is displaying white. I took pictures of them specially selected a white colour tea cup image, you can check them out. As for reduction of brightness its still ok pretty close to the standard as Power Support.

The following is Power Support HD Anti-Glare Screen Protector! Well unfortunately its still grainy but its grain are much finer when viewing white on my iPad 2 screen, guess white is the killer colour for anti-glare protector. When come to viewing in colour power support is close to perfection! It dont really reduce much brightness and sharpness of the screen, its great in this area. One amazing feature this protector is its anti-finger print ability, its like totally cant see my finger print when I touch it. Wow guess soon they might even be bullet proof!

In conclusion Power Support protector certainly win over cheap protector in the following areas:
1. Less graininess when screen (in majority) is displaying in white
2. Close to perfect clarity when screen (in majority) is displaying in colour
3. Close to original screen standard brightness and sharpness
4. Total anti-finger print ability

For me I will still prefer to spend S$59.90 on a smart cover or other super cool accessories than on just a screen protector, I dont mind using my previous cheap protector as its still cool really, as my customers have no problem viewing what I want them to see its ok. Only when come to white display its...!@#$%^&*(). I am happy to get this great protector at such a fantastic discounted price of S$35.40!!! Thanks to the bros at HWZ Singapore!
