Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte

Introducing the Nokia 8800 Arte and the Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte – Technology
meets elegance, all in the name of art. Espoo, Finland - Nokia takes pride in unveiling the Nokia 8800 Arte and the Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte - two brand new designs, which capture the essence of timeless beauty and fine craftsmanship.

Materials are of the finest quality. They include exquisite leather and precious stones. The Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte contains both. The select key for example is made from sapphire, which intrigues with its strong heritage and coveted appeal. Panels are crafted from premium leather sourced in Eastern India. By avoiding mechanical embossing Nokia ensures that each product is totally unique and that the hide’s natural grain is preserved. Fine layers of coating are applied to protect against everyday use and add an extra dash of finesse.

In addition to the 3G capabilities and 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera, the Nokia 8800 Arte and Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte boast a stunning OLED display and 1 GB built-in memory space. A unique silencing mechanism is activated when the phone is turned over, screen-side down. Meanwhile, Nokia’s new anti-fingerprint coating reduces smudges on metal and glass and unsightly outer seams are hidden thanks to a unique all-in-one microUSB connector.

To complete the look, Nokia has designed an exclusive range of accessories. These include a touch-sensitive volume control earpiece, a stylish desk stand and a beautiful leather carrying case complete with linen interior. The Nokia 8800 Arte will be available in the 4th quarter of 2007 with an estimated retail price of 1000 EUR. The Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte will be available in the first quarter of 2008 with an estimated retail price of 1150 EUR. Both prices are exclusive of subsidies and taxes.

Eten glofiish X800 and X600

The X800 is the first 3G-enabled model of the manufacturer, which sporting tri-band UMTS/HSDPA can use 3G world-wide. It is candybar model and is advertised for its VGA touch-sensitive display which has 4 times the resolution of the standard QVGA.

As we can see the X600 screen below is not as bright and sharp as the VGA screen of X800

The X600 lacks the 3G support and has only QVGA resolution, but is much smaller than the high-end model which makes it pocket-friendly. It still has built-in GPS with Sirf Star III chipset, WiFi and 2-megapixel camera, and runs on Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS, but is advertised as small rather than powerful smartphone.

Nokia N96?

It looks like an N81, but even larger. No specifications are known, but people say it is an N95 in a new shell. That would be a sad shame.

Update: Upon closer examination it looks like it does indeed have a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens and there is a dual LED flash similar to the Nokia 6500 Slide. The pictures of the interface clearer show S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, which isn’t out yet.

Intro: Motorola 24-carat gold Razr 2 V8

.
Cleopatra's perfect phone

Motorola's no stranger to gilt-y pleasures. It's already offered Oriental buyers a lady-aimed gold-clad Krzr K1 and now here's a Razr 2 that's apparently been "re-imagined and reconfigured in the most luxurious materials... bathed in gold and clothed in snake-like skin".

Razr 2 is a quad-band GSM/GPRS/Edge handset. Internal and external displays are both 240 x 320, 242,166-colour panels, the inner one 2in across, the other 2.2in. There's a two-megapixel camera on the back and 2GB of memory inside.

As a special bonus, the special edition Razr 2 comes complete with a black-slate Motorola H680 headset with 18-carat gold accents and a patent leather carrying case

Review: Motorola V8

.
MOTORAZR2 V8
An ultra-slim design makes this the thinnest RAZR yet at 11.9mm

The MOTORAZR² V8 brings the revolutionary RAZR form to a new level of sophistication and function. Packed with powerhouse features, this unbelievably strong stainless steel structure feeds the appetite for music, browsing, email and video. With an impossibly sleek profile that’s slimmer than the original RAZR, MOTORAZR² makes faster connections and features bigger, more brilliant screens. You get all the style plus all the power with the new MOTORAZR².

Today we will be looking at Motorola V8, its the new MotoRazr 2 mobile phone, the one here is 512MB internal memroy thers a 2GB internal memory edition which still not in the currently Singapore market yet (hope it will come around soon)

Its running os 500Mhz processor speed which is pretty cool for a motorola phone, Linux base mobile phone, quad-band GSM and EDGE phone, it features two 240x320 TFT screens (one internal 2.2" and one external touchscreen 2.0") great!

Whats in the box! The phone, battery, USB 2.0 cable, stereo headset, charger, users' guide, Mobile phone tool and Windows Media Player 11.

Back view with battery cover, The back portion of the phone are cover with rubbrised material just like Palm Treo 750.

Front view: Camera and 240 x 320 external screen

The best part of the phone is the large size but yet sleek, shinny and glossy metalic body that gives a solid and elegant feel.

Side view: Voice command button

Top View

Side view: Volume buttons, side select key and usb port (for chargging, cable and headset)

Bottom View: Speaker

Open View: the overall size of the phone is pretty large compare to Nokia 8600 Luna and V3i. To me this is the best part because its slim and this give a strong stylish feel when you are using the phone where the whole metalic external screen are shown as your hand hold stadily on the lower part of the phone.

Even it has two 240 x 320 screen V8 is still very slim and sleek

Closed up button view

micro USB stereo headset with stylish mic. It would be better if it come with a clip or have it loop around the neck type thus its easier to just "hang around" while you do not need them shortly.

Overall Motorola V8 is a very good phone whether its design, bulit quality (I ditched my Nokia 8600 Luna for this babe) and functions compare to V3 and V3i. But with whatever reason it does not come with vibrate and ring functions and thats bad. Fortunately like other Motorola phone its very customizble we are able to flesh the phone with the desired firmware, language pack, Java application. So I flashed my phone with a new UK firmware and a asia laguage pack and everything is cool. The syn with PC (Outlook) is smooth but it does not syn Notes. MotoX Forum provide many info for Motorola Phones do check them out. V8 is great for advance user if you do not like "customizing" your phone then this might not be for you. The music player is easy to use, playlist are simple and direct to create, and its A2DP is great!
