Hidden keymat and camera that reveals with a precision slide. Keymat lighting that gently pulsates under a smoked glass cover. Brilliant high resolution and 16-million color display

Slide up and we can see the hidden camera


To remove the battery cover you will have to slide up the phone, press the cover release catch button at the side and slide up the cover to remove it. If you have not remove the back cover of Nokia 8800 before you will not be able to feel how easy it is to remove Nokia 8600 compare to Nokia 8800 (which is such a pain to remove the back cover if you are a first timer)

We are able to see that Luna 8600 has a much bigger screen size than Nokia 8800


For physical size there are pretty much the same when there are closed




When slided open Nokia 8800 is slightly longer than Luna 8600, we can see from here that Luna 8600 has a much flaten keypad


Close up on the buttons and material, both are having white back light for their keypad, new features of Luna 8600 will be pulsing light under keymat thus enable us to view this special effect under its smoked glass cover. Now as we see Nokia 8800 Sirocco Gold is made from 18k gold and white gold thus its body really give that high level of classiness when compare with Luna 8600, even though Luna 8600 does not attract much figer prints like shinny glossy surface does.


Back view, we can clearly see the Gold is the King when come to elegantcy and prestige feeling


Even though Luna 8600 is not made of gold plated or is its body shinny and glossy, it is made of high quality stainless steel and coded mett black


Here Luna is made of translucent, smoked glass over keypad and since it is glass, the keypad plusingly beneath in the form of light effect under the keypad




The leather pouch is of book type where you can flip open side way


and inside it hide the leather cleaning leather


You may make use of the side slot to keep your leather cleaning leather its not a cloth, its really leather

Overall I felt that Luna 8600 is a much improved version of Nokia 8800 in features aspects, it is now in 16 million colour, increased in resolution and screen size, from 208 x 208 to 240 x 320. from single speaker to double speakers others features will be micro-USB thus addition connectivity and high chance that we are able to self upgrade its firmware, as Nokia 8800 does not have USB port. And from the benchmark above we can see that Luna 8600 score win over Nokia 8800 SE, if you had use both before Luna 8600 respond faster than Nokia 8800 SE even though Nokia 8800 SE does not lag like some Nokia N series phone. Luna 8600 does come with USB cable but it miss out Bluetooth headset and Deskstand which Nokia 8800 SE come with, BT headset might not be a big deal to me as elegant BT headset can be obtain but Deskstand which is useful and not able to replace with third party. Luna 8600 may not be as classy as Nokia 8800 SE gold thus if you are looking for max elegant and classiness Nokia 8800 SE Gold is the one. For me now I am happy with Luna 8600 even though I had used Nokia 8800 Original, Nokia 8800 SE Gold before, I prefer Luna 8600 because of its bigger screen and higher resolution, improved features and the overall design and style its giving out
