Review Nokia N93: The Next Story in Video

Alright today I would like to do a review on my N93 I have been using it for a while now, and for those who might be thinking if they should obtain this phone now is the right time and I know some of you have been desired for this phone for a long time already. So before you make your move to buy it, check this out. We can see the packaging and I must say its a pretty big box. I love this part the best every time I got a new phone, the best moment will be opening the fresh new box and expect some pleasant surprises.

Pop! once you open the box you will see that mouth watering N93 right there saying, "touch me.... touch me now" So very gently I remove the phone out from the box and see whats inside. But before I can conclude how long will this phone stay with me I really have to know its quality and features within.

Let us take a look whats in the box, we have cable, cable and more cable, just kidding only two cable; USB and TV-out cables. Of course charger, headset, hand sling, "camera cap sling", 512mb miniSD and charger plug converter so you are still able to use your old Nokia charger to charge your new N93.

Alright now there is another small info pack within the box and info pack contain user guide, guide, guide and more guide, look at the picture yourself I never own a phone that come with so much guides (does it mean this phone is such pain in a neck?) Don't worry, all that guide are there to ensure you maximize the potential of the phone. And the info pack also contain Nokia CD-ROM and a Nokia N93 card not sure whats that for but it said "register your N93" and there is a serial number on it. Oh whatever thats might be..... just go to http://www.nokia-owners.com/index will do and you are able to download exclusive themes and ringtones.
Let us take a look at the real thing. Front view, smooth form factor so much better compare to N90. i like the form factor its neat and give a professional out look. An external screen and external speaker. Yes I know its big whenever I took out my phone i will hear "thats a huge phone" well I found the best honest respone "yes its big and is manly"

From here we are able to see the IR port.

The well protected camera leans, memory slot, headphone port or pop - port, and AC port, later you will see a closer shots.

Here shows the power switch, that little black dot.

This is the main feature of the phone its 3.2 megapixel camera, Carl Zeiss optics and 3x optical zoom , enabling you to get up close and personal while shooting the sharpest quality images possible (but is it really that sharp like a Ninja knife?), and below it is the flash LED.

Open up we can see the battery and SIM card and no memory slot (fortunately)

Here we have a closer look of the memory slot, (headset) pop - port and AC port. Actually it come with a cover for pop - port but i kept it away cos I always ues that port for my headset.

At first when I first saw that tiny little string, I really don't know whats it is all about, I thought it’s for the headset wire management thingy, then while I flipped through the user guide.... yes it’s to sling the cap and handset together so you will not lost your "protection". (see user guide sometime come in handy or is just I'm.... too cool to know) alright lets move on...

Open Front view, quite a wide screen, very neat buttons layout.

The feel of the button is very comfortable easy to press even when you have big hand and fingers because they are pretty big (button).

If you look closely the screen is only supported by a single rod, I'm very much fine with that but others might fear that after to many turning of the screen it might fall apart.

Right side view where the camera, video, flashlight and camera option buttons are.

It's such a manly phone.

We are able to flip the phone is this "sitting position" its cool for video call, picture viewing or suffing the net.

The phone will be automatically turn into camera mode when the phone screen is position in such.
N93 has auto focus function, here we can see some of the camera options.

These are the shooting modes.

Main menu of the phone (same same S60 menu)

This is an extra shortcut key where we are able to asign our desired shortcuts.

The cover display option enable us to personlize our own tone to the phone when we open and close the phone cover.

This is quite an all-in-one phone, as it come with IR, bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, push mail function, 3.2MP camera, video recording and music player (can play wma music format), support up to 2GB miniSD card. Most of the pictures in this blog is taken by this phone N93 like my Sony Ericsson W850i and Nokia 5300 reviews. But i must say its night shot might not be that powerful, I will get my hand on a Sony Ericsson K800i and compare their camera functions, so check back on this site (cos my sis just got that cool!)
